The Encore consists of our last barrel of this wine which was laid down for a further four years allowing the wine and brandy to further integrate and develop into an excellent after dinner accokpaniment for either cheese or a chocolate based dessert

    Quality fruit, hand picked, whole bunch pressed and cool fermented in new American oak with extended lees contact has produced a wine with a bright and enticing appearance. The nose displays tropical fruits with a hint of spice. This chardonnay is full bodied in style with a creamy lees influence. Stone fruit flavours such as nectarine are wrapped with warm and pleasant alcohol. A hint of lime leads a lengthy vanilla oak finish. 2010 available June 2011

    Made from prime fruit grown next to our stream named after a more famous Roman river this wine has a great merlot profile. Leather and tar charcteristics along with a fine tanin grip, good oak balance and a firmly sustained length of finish have combined to produce an elegant and immensely enjoyable wine.

Sited on a terraced valley, hidden in the heartland of Matakana, Hinchco Family Vineyard is a completely family owned and operated vineyard renowned for its handcrafted Merlot and Rosé. There is no cellar door and winery visits are only possible by appointment but wines are available from Taste in the nearby historic riverside town of Warkworth.
