Hinchco Highland Cattle
BEWARE OF THE HORNY, HAIRY COOS
In 2007 Mike bought Andrea two pregnant Highland cows as a birthday gift and a long held passion to create our own small Highland Cattle Fold began. Visitors delight in getting up close to these fearsome looking, yet placid natured beasts. These magnificent, hardy cattle retain many of the primitive characteristics of their Scottish Ancestors and have remained virtually unchanged since the 1200s.

Hinchco Lady Annag.... October 2007
This year we are getting much pleasure from halter training two beautiful home grown heifers Hinchco Lady Amber and Hinchco Lady Annag. Trials on using them for leaf plucking duties has not been very successful to date and Mike is thinking that one or two of the older steers have pizza oven written all over them.
Lord Ballock of Hinchco
Born last September our youngest member of the fold is destined to become a vineyard mascot. He will be weaned shortly and his training will begin.
BALLOCK AND HIS MUM: February 2009

Taken June 2009 our smallest member of the fold is growing rapidly and we are having a lot of fun with his halter training.
Lady Annag (above) and Lady Amber (below) are now becoming grown up young ladies who will soon be introduced a a very handsome bull.
