Hinchco Paddock Block Merlot 2008
Bright, ruby red of moderate intensity. On the nose are light red and yellow plum aromas with hints of black fruits. The palate reveals a dry to off-dry wine with an emphasis on fruit sweetness, a clean and well-defined fruit profile of juicy plum. This wine is of medium weight with youthful, easily managed tannins which add a layer of complexity. Overall soft, round and well balanced in a lighter frame.

Sparkling Merlot Rose 2008
The pure pink colour looks great through the clear glass bottle, topped by it's sexy silver foil wrapper. With a bouquet like minted strawberries and a crisp, clean fruit-driven flavour profile, this delightful wine is summer in a glass. Pure joy! FOOD MATCH A heaped bowl of fresh strawberries would work wonders alongside a glass of this pretty bit of effervescence, but the crisp acids balancing the fruit flavours mean it be equally successful with summer finger foods like pan-fried scallops on discs of just-cooked kumara, or chicken wings marinated in soy, sugar and lime juice before being grilled.Food matching notes by Vic Williams
